Sharing: Creator CEO Resources (and my first newsletter)

By Billy Parks

Back in July, I posted a piece on LinkedIn reflecting on creator summits and top 100 lists omitting those creators that value ownership over everything.

That essay resonated. But more importantly, it helped shape what came next: Slow’s first Creator CEO Summit, which we hosted with The Lighthouse in September.

We brought together a group of operators, industry leaders, and creators who aren’t just optimizing for engagement — they’re aspiring or actively building companies powered by a direct line of distribution. Less about “what to post,” more about what to build. Was a great day with a great group.

A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us — from the 14 panelists who shared their playbooks to the 150+ creators and operators who showed up ready to learn, challenge, and collaborate. The conversations were raw, tactical, and honest. Exactly what the ecosystem needs more of.

Introducing: Creator CEO Resources

Today, I’m excited to share the next step in that journey — a new hub we’re calling Creator CEO Resources.

It’s currently a curated collection of the conversations from our CEO Summit. Filled with insights and frameworks designed to help creators who want to go beyond content — who want to build real, scalable businesses with products, teams, and customers. Gone are the days when this kind of information was gated to a private network.

We talk about:

  • Raising capital (and whether you should at all)

  • Hiring your first team and scaling your current one

  • Product development and distribution

  • Case studies from creator-founders who’ve already done it

The goal isn’t just to help creators make more money — it’s to help them think and act like CEOs. See the syllabus here

Looking Ahead

We’re already planning the next Creator CEO Summit for January 2026, and I’d love your input:

Who would you want to hear from? What conversations feel missing from the current dialogue?

You can reply directly to this email — I read every one.

This is my first newsletter (sorry) — and if you’ve made it this far, thank you. I’ll be using this space to share where I see the creator economy heading, spotlight the gaps that still exist, and connect the dots between attention, ownership, and long-term value.
